Hey,
Stop reading this and get to Church. Go, laugh, dance, get crazy for your King. There are a lot of people out there who need to see that God is real. They need to see that we know God is real. The family he has called us into may not be perfect but hey, its family. Make it better. Go, shake hands. Smile. Laugh. Encourage people. Speak kind words. Love with all of God's heart. He happy. Rejoice for God is good. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Do not say one word that would destroy today. May every word you say today be a source of blessing. The 'WAY' is very much alive and well and as followers of Jesus we need to be very much a live and well. REJOICE!
"Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:25-32) 6月29日 The Way, The Truth And The LifeJust An Opinion:
Okay, call me nuts but I think it is time to take back Christianity from the religously minded folks who have all but destroyed it. Before the citizens of Antioch came up with the name "Christian" people were simply known as belonging to the WAY.
"Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem." (Acts 9:1-2)
Perhaps this was a reference to Jesus saying that he was "the Way, the Truth and the Life". So I simply declare to you today that I am a follower of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and as such belong to The Way, his Way.
Let all those who want a religion keep the title "Christian" and let all of us who walk in the freedom and truth of our relationship with the risen Lord declare to the world that there is only one WAY!
(Besides, it sounds like we should all wear leather jackets, sun glasses and slick back our hair - Hey, I belong to the WAAAAAAAY!)  |
